Ethereum first came on the crypto scene in 2013 when Bitcoin Magazine creator Vitalik Buterin developed the concept to improve upon Bitcoin.
This brilliant stroke of genius created a major technological breakthrough. With the help of a Peter Thiel scholarship worth $100,000, Buterin quit school and started working on developing Ethereum full time.
Out of the available crypto options right now, Ethereum is the second option that people find most appealing behind Bitcoin. As far as capitalization growth and growth rate are concerned, Ethereum is even better than the digital currency leader.
Is it a great investment? You bet it is. Keep reading to discover why this long term investment will become incredibly profitable by investing in a cryptocurrency IRA.
Ethereum Popularity Growth
Out of the many reasons to invest in the Ethereum, one of the major ones is its humongous popularity growth. As far as cryptocurrencies go, it’s now the second most popular behind Bitcoin. With over 100 million tokens currently in circulation, there is only a limited opportunity to capture this tremendous growth.
Obviously, all of this attention means that Ethereum will continue to rise in value. You can purchase it in a few different ways if you’re interested in investing in it. But the best way is to buy Ethereum and hold it as part of your retirement portfolio. A cryptocurrency IRA is the perfect investment vehicle to meet your needs.
To purchase Ethereum, your transaction must come through a supported exchange. Today’s most popular exchanges for this digital currency include:
And it’s a lot easier to purchase Ethereum than you might think. Some payment options include:
- Credit cards
- Debit cards
Before making any decisions, your best bet is to contact a qualified cryptocurrency IRA broker. They’ll fill you in on the pertinent details to help you set up and fund your account. Before long, you’ll be ready to make valuable Ethereum investments.
Ethereum’s Valuations Are Rising
In general, the world is beginning to embrace crypto more and more. Even though it’s a volatile investment, it’s beginning to permeate our culture in a massive way.
Businesses are now willing to accept payments in crypto. And even better, Ethereum has developed a serious following.
Some of the most popular CEOs and investors in the world are ready, willing, and able to support crypto. Many even seem particularly fond of Ethereum.
In fact, the richest and most powerful people in the world have embraced digital currencies. And the most prominent and well-known individuals include:
- Bill Gates
- Sir Richard Branson
- John McAfee
- Peter Thiel
- Eric Schmidt
- Janet Yellen
- Chris Dixon
- Rick Falkvinge
- and many more
Remember, as a trend becomes more popular, more and more prominent figures get in on the action. We’re not saying that every one of these incredibly rich investors have their hands in crypto though.
We are saying that unregulated currencies seem to have gotten their attention. Each one of these people above has had positive things to say about crypto, Bitcoin, and Ethereum in general.
Long-term investing is always the best strategy. It’s the only investment strategy we truly recommend when teaching our readers how to invest in Ethereum.
So do yourself a big favor and open a cryptocurrency IRA and fund it right away. Don’t take too long to invest in this digital currency because it’s best to strike while the iron is hot.
Crypto Is the Currency of the Future (and the Future Is Happening Right Now)
Ethereum and other digital currencies like Bitcoin have really shaken up the financial system. Because of the recent financial crisis a little more than 10 years ago, and other economic turmoil happening right now, people have become much more comfortable with crypto.
Guess what? Ethereum is currently backed by multiple Fortune 500 companies. So if you are ever to invest in a digital currency, you’d be wise to choose one that major companies have an interest in.
The future is happening now because the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) is growing and its members include dozens of Fortune 500 companies. We’re talking about huge businesses in finance, technology, oil, and many other industries. Some of the more prominent names backing Ethereum include:
- Thomson Reuters
- J.P. Morgan
- and many other companies
In fact, the EEA currently consists of more than 200 members as of 2018. And the group will continue to grow as more and more companies recognize the value of this unregulated digital currency.
Once the EEA announced its intentions publicly, the value of Ethereum rose sharply and it hasn’t slowed down ever since. Companies like the ones mentioned above love Ethereum for a wide variety of reasons. Particularly, they like it because it’s efficient and it’s quick to use. And smart contracts are executed on the valuable Ethereum network in record time.

Financial Institutions Are Also Adopting Ethereum
Many financial institutions have seen the writing on the wall. They recognize that traditional and heavily regulated currencies like the US dollar, the British pound, and others are in jeopardy.
They aren’t nearly as efficient as digital currency. In fact, Bitcoin and Ethereum could potentially destroy banks over the long run. But just like the old adage goes, if you can’t beat them, join them.
Bank of America was the first financial institution to jump on the blockchain bandwagon. But make no mistake, because every bank will eventually follow.
They created a premier app that makes it possible for customers to secure transactions paid in Ethereum. This is only the beginning because Apple, Microsoft, and other Fortune 500 companies have all jumped on the bandwagon. So the best is still yet to come.
How to Invest in Ethereum
As we’ve mentioned a few times already, the best way to invest in Ethereum is through a cryptocurrency IRA. This digital currency isn’t going away anytime soon. To maximize your profits, your best bet is to buy and hold it for the long-term for your retirement.
We’ve reviewed the top three cryptocurrency IRA companies operating in this space today. Read our reviews and use this information to choose the perfect company to meet your needs.
Hey thanks for the informative post! I have heard of bitcoin and how popular it is right now. As for Ethereum, I have not really heard much about it. What is the difference between the two, if anything at all? I get real confused over all this, as I want to invest in cryptocurrency, but I don’t know if I have to have some bank account, and if not, where is it all stored?
Hello Jessie! Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are blockchain-based cryptocurrencies with Bitcoin having come earlier. Ethereum is cheaper to buy in a unit of Ether (the unit for Ethereum) compared to one unit of Bitcoin. They are both the leading cryptocurrencies out there today and I would recommend investing in both of them for the long-term. You can store cryptocurrencies through companies like Coinbase but I would highly recommend investing in a cryptocurrency IRA. In a cryptocurrency IRA, your coins are held in cold-storage in a depository for top security. I hope this helps! Thank you for dropping by with your feedback and inquiries.
I’m a user of Bitcoin and have transacted several times using the cryptocurrency. I am also aware that there exist several alternatives to Bitcoin like Etherium but haven’t tried using it for actual transactions. I heard before that this is often used in B2B business transactions and less by ordinary individuals. With that, do you think it will change in the near future and will be widely adopted by the masses like the way Bitcoin was adopted?
Hi Gomer! Ethereum is quickly on the rise just as Bitcoin is. Cryptocurrency is still a new field for many people but it’s becoming more and more popular with the masses every day. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum is on the rise in popularity and it’s even more reason to invest in both of them! Thank you for coming by and sharing your experience with us, Gomer!
Hallo there David,
I have been looking for investment opportunities for good deal of time now and one of my rich friends told me about venturing into the bitcoin industry, especially focusing on Ethereum. He told me to research more about it and ask around to confirm what he was saying. And I am greatful I bumped on this post.
Based on the way you have explained things, it sure is here to stay and is going to be profitable through the years. The fact that some of the richest folks as well as banking institutions are working with it speaks volumes about its future. Thanks for the really detailed post here. It really went a long way for me.
Hello David! Indeed Bitcoin and Ethereum are looking good for investors and banking institutions. They are both profitable ventures for the long-run because of its gaining popularity and investments. Thank you for dropping by and the feedback, Dave!
I totally agree with you concerning the emergence of ethereun and its prominence together with the other cryptocurrencies. Very truly, they are the future of money and currencies. They are really pulling the waves and everyone is adopting them with open arms. However, I love every bits of them and how effective they could be to ensure progress in investments too. I like this post and surely, investing in a crypto IRA would be great investment too. Thanks
Hello Rodarrick! Thank you for the feedback! Yes, investing in a cryptocurrency IRA would be very profitable, especially for the long-term. It really seems like they are the future of money. That’s also a topic for another post as well. It’s always great to see you around! Thank you for the feedback, Rodarrick!
I have been doing a lot of research recently about crypto currencies, but I still have reservations because I still feel like I don’t know much about it. I feel like if I put money into I will have no clue how to use it or access it. I feel like if I put money into I’d essentially just be throwing it away. I’ll check out some more of your site to see if I can learn more. You said you can buy it from brokers, how could I buy it without having to go through a broker? I like to feel independent when it comes to my money and where it goes.
Hello Wilson! The best way to invest in cryptocurrency is through a cryptocurrency IRA – you can also purchase cryptocurrencies without a custodian if you choose to make a wallet through companies like Coinbase. However, I would recommend investing in cryptocurrency for the long-term, not for short-term buying and selling and that’s why it’s best to invest in them through a cryptocurrency IRA where they are held for you at minimal fees. Feel free to peruse my website for more information, particularly through the link above. Thank you for the feedback and inquires, Wilson!
